Sunny Suncadia

Such a wonderful, life-affirming weekend.  A beautiful surrounding with quality friends.  Doesn’t get much better than that!

And check out these beautiful leaves!

And we stopped and took in the grandeur of Snoqualmie Falls on our way home.  Spectacular as always!

Weekend Forecast: cold but fun-filled

A week ago today Glen flew to Reno for a long weekend. How fast time goes. This Thursday he is down and out with a whopping cold but making the best of it, especially considering how busy he is. Colds can be the absolute worst! They drag on for far too long and you feel bad to blah the entire time. I am trying hard not to catch it from him or anyone else since it seems to be everywhere the last couple of weeks.

He seems to be just a bit better today though which is great since another busy, fun-filled, weekend is on its way! Our cousins/friends, Ann and Gerry – of teaching the family how to scuba dive fame – are coming for a visit from their home in Boise, Idaho. Glen is picking them up this afternoon and then we’re all heading over to my parents tonight for a dinner party with some additional friends. After a bit of work in the morning for both of us, the four of us get to head over to Roslyn in Eastern Washington to a fabulous looking resort called Suncadia for the weekend where we’ll be living the good life! : ) Our friends Tina and Jeff have generously invited a group of their friends to share a big house they have for the weekend so we’ll be busy chatting, eating, drinking, hiking, hottubbing, drinking, eating, watching ball games, napping, playing board games, eating, chatting, drinking – you know, all the best stuff!

We’ll get back in time for our friend Lisa’s 40th birthday party at the Spaghetti Factory on Sunday evening. She looks 25 so I keep telling her to quit telling people. : )

Hey and speaking of young people having birthdays, a shout out to one of our favorite girls, Brieanna! Woo-Hoo! Happy Birthday Brieze! We’re crazy about you and hope you have a great day.

Alright, I snuck this posting in before my guests arrive. Now I’ve got to do a whirl through the house to be sure we’re ready and presentable. Enjoy this beautiful fall day wherever you are! Stay well!
