30 day countdown!

We’re talking Pillsbury today. First, 30 days from today Glen and I fly to Florida! How is that even possible? Where has the time gone? I know the Bake-Off event is going to be a sensational experience but you just know it will be over too fast! None-the-less the countdown has arrived. My best hope for extending it all is to win! I’m ready, willing and able to take on that role. :) And I better be practicing my dish every week now so I am super duper ready and polished at it.

Next, as you know, I’ve had the chance to be in the local paper, I’ve gotten to meet Connie and Steve on KOMO News 4 and next up, I’m taking on radio! Tomorrow my guy Steve back in New Jersey who is a public relations pro helping promote the Bake-Off has set me up with a station called KKNW (1150 am on your radio dial) and next Thursday, I’ll be talking to the Morning Show guys at Seattle’s number one station which is KMPS 94.1 country music.

So, of the two, I’m most interested in KKNW partly because, up until yesterday, I’d never heard of the station. They bill themselves as “alternative talk radio” and by that they don’t mean like Howard Stern or Bill O’Reilly or that sort of shocking or negative, controversial stuff. They are exactly the flip. All of the programs are about positive topics and issues. Pretty cool. My interview is going to be with Pam and Rochelle on a program called “Chat with Women.” Sounds like a fun opportunity. You can actually find out more – and even listen to my interview online – at http://www.chatwithwomen.com/ or http://www.1150kknw.com/.

The other interview seems a little more like a wild card to me. Talking to the morning DJs at any station seems like you better be ready for almost anything. Not being much of a country music fan, however, I haven’t really tuned into KMPS much and, like with KKNW, I don’t know the station well, so it ups the “who knows?/be ready” meter even higher. I do know it is a popular station in Seattle and I can say with certainty that I’ll be listening to it every morning on my drive to work between now and next Thursday! : )

So, next, I’m thinking I need to work with my guy Steve on getting me on a billboard or a transit bus sign — or how ‘bout Oprah?! : ) Aim high I say!
