Scenes from another great get-together

It was a great time with the gang plus a few last night! The band debuted with their new members — Rick on congas and Jim on bass — and special extra guitar star, Ron — and rocked the house. The whole group was on top of their game last night and they sounded great! Tons of fun.

Back in business

See that super cute kid? He’s one of my very own and he rocks the house when it comes to tons of things but most especially anything at all to do with computers. And once again, he came to his adoring, but computer challenged, aunt’s aid and fixed the bad virus that had attached itself to my blog. Take that bug! Spencer put the whammy on it and I am back in business. Thanks Spence!
And welcome back everyone (well, ok, my sister Lori and my mom tend to make up “everyone” but you have to start somewhere! And fabulous Anita in PA who gave me the first real clue about the bug. ) There’s always so much going on I don’t have time to be slowed down by any pesty virus.
My week is picking up in speed – after starting out leisurely. I stayed in bed reading the paper yesterday morning rather than get up and out to Jazzercise. Then, for most of the rest of the day, while Glen worked in the yard finishing up the tree limbs and organizing our new pile of beauty bark, I puttered around the house — changed the sheets; swept floors; cleaned out the fridge and did laundry. Past that, I settled in to watch people arriving at the Oscars and started my new Kindness Diet book. It turned out to be another pretty day and just about the minute Glen finished up outside it started pouring! Perfect timing on his part.
Anyone else catch the Oscars? Boring! But I gave huge thumbs up to Sandra Bullock and Jeff Bridges both winning and I loved Sandra’s dress. I decided I would like to be her. She’s talented, beautiful and also seems nice and grounded with her head on straight about not taking things too seriously. Same with Jeff. (See? He’s the kind of guy who wouldn’t mind me calling him just Jeff. : ))

Today the weather reports called for snow but the entire day was sunny and bright. We all enjoyed laughing about it for most of the day. Who knows? Maybe it will sneak in tonight.

Despite missing Jazzercise yesterday, I did get myself there tonight and will again on Wednesday. Tomorrow night I am heading over to my friend Cindy’s to check out her new condo and grab some dinner. On Thursday night I have to be very disciplined and get the house clean and organized because the March Music Madness party (usually known as the January Beat the Blues event but happening very late this year thus the name change) is going to be at our place Saturday night. Saturday morning I have a dentist appointment (which I’m trying hard to mindblock.) And on Friday night we head to Seattle for my sister Jen’s Art Show on Phinney Ridge. There goes that week!
