Show and Tell

I’ve got a splish splash, mish mash to share with you today of things that have caught my fancy and I’m going to start with the most unexpected thing on my show and tell list. I know, “yes Julee this is a very pretty blue soda.” But check out the label!!!  This is really the coolest soda EVER!  It’s the band on a bottle!  The band’s talented bass player Jim took a shot of the band, sent it to Jones Soda and got a case made.  Isn’t that just the coolest thing this side of mega cool?  : )  Got a cool picture you want on a bottle?  You can do it too.  Just follow the easy steps at www.jonessoda.com and have fun!

Next up is this fun box of veggies my sister brought me this week from her garden.  We’re in October and she’s still getting good stuff out of her yard — that’s pretty unheard of around these here parts.  And most especially, do you see that green bean?  That thing is long enough to feed most of Seattle for a week!

I’ve got my house decked out for fall and these little scarecrows just make me smile.

Here’s a sign of inconvenience ahead.  This was sitting at the bottom of our driveway on Wednesday.  It seems the city is getting ready to replace our perfectly good road for a newer road. Oh well, there are lots worse problems to have.

And this is a sign that we have moles in our yard!  What the what is up with that?!  The little varmints are ripping things up pretty good right now.

I caught this guy making himself a “snack” recently.  A “snack” of about 10 cookies!!! And he wasn’t even embarrassed about it.  Mean wife that I am, I made him put about half of them back for another time.

These are just cool new coke “can bottles” or “bottle cans” that they were serving at the conference I was at last week.  I thought they were cool.

I wanted you to see what the Ezekiel Sprouted Grain Tortillas I told you about that they sell at Trader Joes looked like so you know what to look for when you go for some yourself.  These are popular!  It took me three trips before I got some.  They’re good for you, tasty and filling.

And a fabulous finish to leave you with — look at this super cool gift my friend Amy left on my doorstep for me.  She made this!  She calls it beach art and she is right that when its lit it looks like a little beach bonfire.  I love it!  She is one of the most creative people I know and she scored again with this.  Thanks Amy!
What about you?  Got any fun things that have been catching your eye lately?
