snap snap and pumpkin patch

We had a good combination of chores and fun going on this weekend which as y’all can guess coming from me means it was heavy on the fun and light on the chores. :)

Now, now, I did get a few things done like my closet (the most thankful unending task always!), more party clean-up, laundry and a run for groceries. But the rest of the time was for the pursuit of happiness and we found that yesterday at a showing of The Addams Family at the 5th Avenue Theater and today at a pumpkin patch in Snohomish. Fall fun for sure!

First up was the musical with my sis Jen, her guy Rod, our kid Tea and Glen and me. We all had a blast! We first grabbed lunch at a Pan Asian food place in Seattle called Wild Ginger where we each had a dish we gave a strong thumbs up. For me, that was salt and pepper  tofu and string beans. Yum!

From there we headed over to The Addams Family which was a kick in the pants from start to finish. Just a whole bunch of campy fun! It was mostly really well cast and the sets added to the good time. Plus we had good seats which was an added bonus. Three hundred percent fun.

Next up, today, we first did some shopping that had to happen and then joined members of our framily out at a pumpkin patch farm. Loved it! We wandered the pumpkin field, checked out the scarecrows, caught a hayride and chowed down on some treats. It was a full-on fall bit of festivity and we really enjoyed it. Perfect Halloween countdown.

Lastly, I mentioned last week that we got treated to dinner by Rick and Tamy for Brie and Kyle’s rehearsal Thursday night. I just had to include these couple of nice pics of that good time.

I love this season called fall!
