Alright, I gotta hold on to my witches hat this week cause things are broomin, er, zoomin! Something must be in the autumn fog cause pretty much everyone I know is bordering on too busy.
Starting with work – I am in back to back to back to overlapping, starting early, staying late meetings every flip floppin day this week. Holy meetings batman! I’m not all that patient with even good meetings and these, for the most part, are a whole bunch on the newest IT initiative we’re working on. Add a couple people out on vacation and the wind blowing in which means all the reporters in the area start calling about whether we’re ready or not for outages and you get crazy busy.
Meanwhile, on the home front, its two parties down and one to go! Good thing I enjoy a good party.
None of them have been tough though really. The whole group brings things to book club and Tea helped me pull off the shower. Rounding it out, my parents generously are hosting the book celebration party on Friday which meant I got to order party trays – no scrambling with a lot of cooking and the like! That helps a bunch. (Thank you again mom and dad! So nice.) I just need to fill in with a few things and my sister, Lora, wonderfully agreed to do a cookie platter for me (thank you again Lor!) so I’m feeling pretty relaxed about it. I mean as relaxed as you can be when time is limited and a deadline is looming.
And actually, we have a double party this weekend since we’ve got bachelor/bachelorette parties to attend on Saturday evening. Not throwing either of those though — simply attending is easy peasy.
Gosh, and I haven’t even got to a big part of what else is adding to the crazy busy fun ahead:
· First off, our Philly kid is flying home at long last for a visit and we are totally jazzed about that.
· Then Glen’s brother Jeff and his wife Joyce are coming on up from Nevada for the weekend.
· And last but never least, rounding it all out, is Glen’s best friend Toby (who you’ve seen featured here several times in his semi-regular antics with Glen) and his wife Corrine (the “real” parents of our kid, Brian J) are coming in too!
Woo-hoo! Can you say “put your party pants on and let’s boogie?”
Well whether that’s the right phrase or not, that’s what we all are a gonna be doin’!
