Wow did we have a beautiful October weekend day today here in the Pacific Northwest! That’s the view off our deck this afternoon above. It looks a little bit hazy but it really wasn’t. I know its not a particularly stunning photo — especially with the power lines in it — but it’s meant to show how beautiful a day it was for October. And get a load of that gigantic freighter in the mix of it. I love what goes by our window!

I sat at our dining room table for most of the day with our deck door open and my view looking out over the pretty bay working on trying to understand and get my arms around all there is to know about promoting a book. There’s a lot! I had piles of paperwork to go through before I got the to-do’s down to eight categories on two big poster board size sheets of paper. Now I just gotta start working the list — oh, and it’d be nice to have a book too.
Not sure when this month that day will come but I’m working to be ready for it.
The most exciting part of the book planning though today is what Glen was busy on. He spent the afternoon with a new friend recording the background music for the book’s promotion trailer! He wrote it and I really love it. It fits the feel of the book perfect and I can’t wait to share it with you all once all the pieces now come together and we have a trailer to share. Soon!

While I sat studying away my day, I munched on this totally exotic and really delicious, albeit a little ugly on the outside, fruit. It’s a dragonfruit! Have you tried one before? The shape is super cool looking and the fruit was delicious. Glen gave it a thumbs up too. We decided it was sort of a cross between a honeydew melon and a kiwi. This was a new one for us that we’ll be getting again.
Oh my goodness, I nearly forgot to share my biggest piece of news today — my new book website is ready for prime time! Well, mostly ready. It has a few tweaks still needed that the designer is working on for me but you can pop on over and check it out anytime you like. The new site is at www.jinglebellejackson.com. I’ll be blogging about the book, Christmas-related topics and kindness regularly over there. A bunch of my favorite topics!
So come on over and follow the site and give a like to my author facebook page. I’m figuring it out as I’m going along and having a bunch of fun in the middle of it all. We’re in day six of the best month of the year and its living up to that favorite title again this year!
