nyc — broadway!

The problem with having too much fun is you frequently find yourself on the run! That’s definitely the case this trip where we’re combining a conference with taking on the big city! I have to find little minutes to jam in blogging wherever I can get down before rushing off to what’s next!

We ended yesterday in a really totally marvelous day — we headed to the bright lights of Broadway, found our way back down to Times Square and got to see Rock of Ages at the Helen Hayes Theater. Loved it! What a total blast! I hate to think we might have missed it. It had all the classic things of a really great show. You know — sex, drugs and rock n roll!  To the men in my life — I’m really sorry you missed it! :) I know my guy would have totally enjoyed it. Honestly, while it did have some of all of that, it mostly had super talented actors (none of any fame that I recognized — just big talent), a great set and really great music. Lots of humor too. If I could sing a note being on Broadway would be something I would love. Tons of work I know, but sooo cool!

It was the girls first Broadway play — Anita’s first musical ever — and what a fun one to start with. Made me want to stay all week and hit all the others cause there are soooooo many good ones playing right now — and pretty much always. Even with Tea burning up in the hot sun most the day in line waiting for half price tickets, they were still $88 each(!) We all felt like they were totally worth it in the end — even Tea. Not to mention, the generous girl treated. Thank you again T-bird! When we got out and walked back to our hotel there were two notable things: First,  it was 11 pm and Times Square was PACKED! And second, it was STILL 86 degrees out! Boy is that different from my home town in the Northwest.

Well, back to the closing session of the BlogHer 12 conference — more updates as soon as I have some time!!
