I am doing something super fun soon and you all are sure to be jealous! Heading to New York City! Woo-hoo! It gets even better cause I’m taking Tea along and we’re meeting Anita, my Philly kid and the creative force behind the blog CalicoTales.com. Anita and I are spending our days at the Blogher conference and we are jazzed! It’s a huge annual blog conference that attracts thousands of bloggers. Every day is packed with sessions about blogging plus a large trade show and crazy sounding parties every night. And if that isn’t enough, add in that Katie Couric and Martha Stewart are the key note speakers! Nothing but fun ahead. Tea plans to go out and explore NYC while A and I are attending sessions. Of course, we also plan to take some time off to get out in the city ourselves. Gonna. Be. Fun!!!!!!! We’ll learn tons on how to have stronger blogs, maybe even attract more readers, and we’ll have plenty of stories to talk about on our blogs. Best of all, we get time together! Tea and I haven’t seen Anita for more than a year and they’re best friends. Needless-to-say, we are all excited.

So, as part of all the build-up for the conference, Blogher sends us out short little newletters about the conference and the conference sponsors. In the last one, they had a link to a company called Love With Food. Love With Food is my kind of biz! Like my make-up services, when you sign up with Love With Food for $10 a month you get six to eight small gourmet food samples a month. Fun! You know I’m going to love sharing the what’s what on all of those with all of you. But it gets better! For every box they sell, they donate a meal to food banks across the US! You know how I love those gifts that give back. It all sounds like a whole bunch of cool to me. Find out more about this cool company yourself at www.lovewithfood.com. And if you decide to sign up come back and copy/paste this link www.lovewithfood.com/sign_up?ref=33FB1. If you do, I get account points for some extra products to review.
Okay a couple more things before I move along to have to do’s tonight like book editing, first, judge if you must, but I went to, and I had a really good time at, Magic Mike! Yes, yes, that male stripper movie with Matthew McConaughy and the totally dreamboat Channing Tatum. I’ve never been a real fan of Channing’s but that has now changed. The boy is pretty dang close to perfect in this movie. Nice guy with nice moves. Oh yabadabadoo! The theater was full of groups of women and it was just a whole bunch of risque fun.
That was Tuesday night. Wednesday night it was a meeting of my girl pal’s Happy Hour Club where we sat outside on a local restaurant deck, soaking in this wonderful Pacific Northwest sunshine while we enjoyed a couple bottles of some cold pinot grigio. Fabulous girlfriend fun.
And then lastly, today at lunch, my super duper nephew Ty and Kinga and my little Miss Muffet Savanna, took me and mom and dad out to a yummy sushi lunch as a birthday treat. The food was great, they spoiled me with a birthday present on top of it and the company was the best you get!
Okay and very lastly, it’s a perfect 75 degrees here this week! Foggy in the mornings and sunny in the afternoons. Love it!

Cannot wait!
